Access To Work
Access to Work is a government-funded employment support programme that helps people start or stay at work.
If you have a disability, illness, or health condition (including Long Covid), an Access to Work grant can pay for practical support, specialist equipment, and help with travel expenses to do your job.
You do not need to be diagnosed with a condition to apply, and you can be self-employed.
How much support you receive depends on your circumstances. The money does not have to be paid back and will not affect other benefits.
Is Access To Work for you?
Do you have:
- A developmental condition, like Autism spectrum disorder
- Learning difficulties or differences like ADHD or Dyslexia
- An illness such as Diabetes, Epilepsy or Long Covid
- A physical disability, for example, hard of hearing or a wheelchair user
- A learning disability or related condition, for example, Down’s syndrome
- A temporary condition, like a broken leg
- A Mental Health condition, for example, Anxiety or Depression
If so, you may be eligible.
